Policy

Atom Registry is built on a simple principle: we cannot collect what we never receive. Our architecture makes most privacy questions irrelevant by design.

Effective: January 1, 2025 Last Updated: June 1, 2025
THE SHORT VERSION
Atom Registry has no backend servers, no database, no user accounts, and no analytics platform. Every query you make goes directly from your browser to public blockchain REST nodes. We do not see your searches, your wallet addresses, or any other activity within the explorer. This policy explains the narrow edge cases where some information does flow through systems we operate or use.
1. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

Because Atom Registry operates without a backend server, the following data is never transmitted to or stored by us:

  • Search queries — block heights, transaction hashes, wallet addresses, validator addresses
  • Which chains you browse, switch to, or query
  • Governance proposals you view or vote results you inspect
  • Validator addresses or delegator addresses you look up
  • Smart contract addresses or query parameters you submit
  • Your IP address in relation to explorer queries
  • Any personally identifiable information whatsoever

All blockchain data queries go directly from your browser to the public REST node endpoints listed in our chain configuration. Those node operators' own privacy policies govern any data they retain from incoming HTTP requests.

2. INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY

Atom Registry stores certain data in your browser's localStorage to improve performance across sessions. This data never leaves your device:

  • Theme preference — dark or light mode setting, stored under the key ar_theme
  • Cached blockchain data — recent blocks, validator lists, and governance proposals are cached to enable fast cold-starts on your next visit
  • Chain selection — the last chain you were viewing may be remembered for convenience

You can clear this data at any time through your browser's developer tools or settings panel (Application → Local Storage → atomregistry.com → Clear All). No account deletion or opt-out form is required because the data only exists on your own device.

3. INFORMATION WE DO RECEIVE

3.1 WEB SERVER LOGS

When your browser loads the Atom Registry HTML file (atomregistry.com), our web hosting provider (Cloudflare) receives and may log standard HTTP request metadata: your IP address, browser user agent, referrer URL, and the timestamp of the request. This is standard for any website. We do not use this data for tracking or advertising. Cloudflare's own privacy policy governs their data retention practices.

3.2 FONT REQUESTS

Atom Registry loads three typefaces from Google Fonts: JetBrains Mono, Syne, and Bebas Neue. Google's servers receive your IP address when these assets are fetched. Google Fonts' privacy policy applies to these requests. Fonts are cached by your browser after the first load, so repeated visits do not generate repeated requests.

3.3 PRICE DATA

Token price information is fetched from the CoinGecko public API. CoinGecko may log IP addresses of callers to their API in accordance with their own privacy policy. No personal data is sent with these requests — they are simple GET requests for price data identified by token ID only.

3.4 CONTACT FORM

If you submit the contact form on our Contact page, your name, email address, and message content are transmitted to us via our email service provider. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add contact form submissions to any marketing lists or share them with third parties.

4. COOKIES

Atom Registry does not set any first-party cookies. We use localStorage exclusively for the preferences described in Section 2.

Cloudflare, as our CDN and DDoS protection provider, may set technical cookies necessary for security and performance functions (e.g., the __cf_bm cookie for bot management). These are technical cookies, not tracking or advertising cookies. Consult Cloudflare's cookie policy for details.

We have no advertising relationships, no data brokers, and no analytics providers. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any similar product.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Atom Registry is a technical tool intended for users who are legally able to interact with blockchain technology in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Because we collect essentially no personal information from any user, this section is largely theoretical — but we state it for completeness.

7. SECURITY

Atom Registry is served exclusively over HTTPS. The explorer itself does not transmit sensitive data, handle private keys, or process financial transactions. We strongly recommend that users never enter seed phrases, private keys, or signing credentials into any web interface, including ours.

If you discover a security vulnerability in Atom Registry, please contact us at security@atomregistry.com before public disclosure. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will acknowledge your report promptly.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Because we do not collect or store personally identifiable information (beyond the narrow cases in Section 3), most data rights requests are not applicable. However:

  • You can delete all locally stored data by clearing localStorage in your browser at any time
  • You can contact hello@atomregistry.com to request deletion of any contact form submission data we hold
  • If you are a resident of the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. We are committed to honoring these rights to the extent they apply to our minimal data processing activities
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Atom Registry following a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

We do not anticipate significant changes to our data practices — our architecture fundamentally limits what we can collect — but we will notify users of any material changes via a notice on the main explorer page.
